Guilty Pleasure #4 Living Dead Dolls

That’s right, I’m in my 30’s and I collect dolls.  Not creepy looking baby dolls or fragile porcelain dolls but scary dead dolls; not that they were ever alive. Child’s Play was just a movie…right?  I heard about LDD when they first came out 13 years ago but never looked into where to get them or what kind were available.  Then about 3 or 4 years ago on a concert trip to Vancouver, I went into a comic store and saw Calavera, a Day of the Dead style doll.  That started the collection which is now at 24.  Yes, I have a problem.  Why is this a guilty pleasure?  Because they’re dolls and I have 24 of them. Admittedly it is strange for an adult woman to collect toys but these are the creepiest dolls and the collection just keeps growing.  There are rare ones out that which can sell for hundreds of dollars but the one I want was released exclusively in Germany: Walpurgis. I would never spend hundreds of dollars on a doll.

Tell me that’s not a creepy, demonic doll.  So there is another guilty obsession. Doll collecting – and at my age!

Here are 4 of the 24 I have in my collection.
